Sometimes the cylinder will rub up against other parts of the gun if it isn't aligned properly, and spraying WD40 in these areas can make the gun work more smoothly and minimize any damage caused by friction. Making sure that the cylinder doesn't have dirt, or anything that doesn't belong on the gun can be a quick fix.
It's easy to get a small rock or dirt stuck in many different places of the gun. If a bullet doesn't leave the gun, but you hear it shoot the bullet, the bullet may be wedged somewhere in the gun causing an obstruction. If neither of the above suggestions work, check out the Chamber Replacement Guide.
Typically when the trigger is not working, it is usually jammed. The simplest fix is to make sure the trigger is being pulled all the way back in the barrel. Once you have made sure that that trigger has been all of the way extended, ensure that the spring is working properly. If the spring has been damaged or broken, you will need to replace the spring which is located inside of the chamber. When the bullets are stuck in the chamber, the easiest solution is to ensure you are using the correct size dart for the Maverick If the darts are too large or too small for the gun, it allows them to get stuck easily.
Replacement darts can usually be purchased if you do find that the size of your darts does not match the size of your gun. You can determine if the chamber or barrel are blocked if you cannot hear or feel the air escaping from the gun upon firing. Ensure that your positioning is one that allows the air to escape, which pushes the plunger and allows your dart to escape the gun. The nerf mega Centurion gun will fire the bullet, but the bullet wont fully come out of the barrel.
How do I fix this? I disassembled my Nerf Maverick to remove the air restrictors to make the darts fly farther, but when I put it back together, everything was wrong. It stopped firing, the slide doesnt retract into place, it just slides around, and when you fire it sounds like plastic hitting plastic in there. I am afraid if I try to take it apart I will further damage it. Any idea how to fix this? I want to know what I'm doing before I do it. Hey guys! In an effort to make things right, I put the original springs back - but still the same problems.

This also improves your grip when nerf battling as it often does gets hot and sweaty. Barrel: The barrel of the Maverick is short and stubby, as you would expect from a revolver themed handgun.
Behind the muzzle, the sides of the barrel are open to accommodate the magazine. On the muzzle, various types of N-Strike attachments can be added in order to enhance the quality of play and the delivery. On top of the barrel, you can find a priming handle and two sights.
Sights: The two sights are located on top of the barrel and help with proper aiming. To aim, line up the target so that you can see it through both sights, then pull the trigger. Priming handle: The priming handle is located on top of the barrel, somewhat posteriorly.
Since the Maverick is a spring-loaded blaster, you need to prime before every shot. To prime, just pull the priming handle backward, then allow it to slide forwards.
Attachment points: We have a ring attachment point and a sling attachment point on the Nerf Maverick. The ring attachment point is located somewhere on the side of the blaster, while the sling attachment point is located towards the end of the priming handle.
You can rep your colors by attaching your team flag to these points. Tactical rail: A tactical rail is present on top of the priming handle of the Nerf Maverick. Just like any other tactical rail, you can slide on whatever attachments you need to take your game to the next level, be it laser tags, night vision, scopes, or whatnot. There is a problem, however, with the positioning of the tactical rail.
Since it is placed on the priming handle, any accessory that has been attached to it will interfere if you wish to slide the priming handle.
This makes the action of priming a little bit clumsy. I overcome this obstacle by holding the priming rail by the sides while pulling it. It is housed the hollow barrel and rotates after every shot is made. Magazine release button: This is located on the side of the Maverick. Pressing it slightly ejects the magazine out of the body of the blaster towards the left. Trigger: The trigger is located just in front of the grip, under the barrel. It only works when the blaster has been properly primed.
When primed, pressing the trigger shoots a dart out of the muzzle. It also moves the magazine a step counterclockwise to get another dart ready for shooting. I really wish this thing had slam fire. First of all, you have to unpack the blaster. Then, get six of your suction tip darts or Elite darts or whatever type of darts you would want to use. Press the magazine release button so that the magazine will eject out a little bit. Load all six compartments in the magazine with darts.
To prime, pull the priming handle on top of the barrel backward, then allow it to slide forward.
